Top Shot Images — aerial photography and video

I run Top Shot Images as a solo, CAA-authorised and fully insured drone pilot — an aerial photographer and videographer based in Oxfordshire, working predominantly across the South and South-West of England, though I’ll travel anywhere the job takes me. My work is purely visual: photos and video, rather than survey data, mapping or measurements. I shoot on a DJI Mavic 4 Pro, which captures up to 6K video and high-resolution stills — plenty of detail for almost any commercial brief.

A production background

Before founding Top Shot Images, I spent 15 years in professional film and TV camera departments — working as a focus puller and camera operator on productions including Silent Witness (BBC), Endeavour (ITV), Gangs of London (Sky Atlantic), Black Mirror (Channel 4 / Netflix), One Strange Rock (National Geographic) and Luther (BBC). That means I know how an aerial needs to cut into a sequence, how to take a director’s brief, and how to work efficiently and unobtrusively around a wider crew.

Construction, architecture and infrastructure

For builders, developers and architects, I provide aerial photography and video that give you a clear visual record of a project at every stage — progress shots, time-lapse sequences and wide-angle views showing how a site is coming together. It’s a practical way to keep stakeholders in the loop, show off finished work, and build up a visual story from first turf to final handover. For architectural work, I shoot high-resolution stills and footage that show how a building sits in its landscape — useful for marketing, presentations and portfolio material.

Hotels, holiday lets and high-end property

If you’re in hospitality, tourism or selling a serious property, the view from above often tells the story best. I work with hotels, holiday lets, country estates and private homes to capture the setting as well as the building — gardens, coastlines and surrounding landscape. The Mavic 4 Pro is quiet in the air, so guests and neighbours aren’t disturbed, and the footage is designed to make your property stand out, whether that’s on your website, social channels or in a printed brochure.

Maritime, education and public sector

I shoot aerial photography and video of vessels, harbours, offshore assets and coastal infrastructure — environments where planning and compliance matter as much as the shot itself. I also work with schools, colleges and universities on aerial shots of campus buildings and promotional video for open-day materials, prospectuses and websites. Each job is planned around what you actually need, rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
