Raven Sky Drone Services is a South Wales commercial drone operation specialising in the collection of clear, usable visual datasets from buildings, property, construction sites and difficult-to-access locations.
The drone is the collection platform rather than the end product. Every assignment begins by establishing what the client needs to see, record, compare or evidence. The flight profile, camera position and method of capture are then planned around producing information that is genuinely useful to the client.
Depending on the task, the resulting dataset may include high-resolution still imagery, 4K video, measured imagery, repeat construction-progress records or structured visual evidence.

Operational judgement and professional standards

Raven Sky is operated by Rob Hughes, bringing 15 years of police aviation experience as a helicopter air observer, instructor and examiner, together with a background in roads policing and collision investigation.
That experience brings a disciplined approach to observation, risk assessment, evidence capture and operational decision-making.
Raven Sky is a CAA-registered operator, commercially insured and operated by an A2 CofC-qualified remote pilot. Flight planning, site risk, airspace, weather and operating conditions are assessed for every assignment. Privacy, data protection and responsible handling of client material are treated as operational requirements rather than afterthoughts.

Raven Sky’s role is to capture the right information accurately and present it clearly. Where specialist interpretation is required, the resulting dataset can support surveyors, contractors, facilities teams, insurers, legal professionals and other qualified specialists in making their own assessment.
This approach allows the same core capability to serve very different requirements: documenting roof condition, recording construction progress over time, examining an industrial asset, providing measured imagery or preserving a visual record of a site.
 
Based in Bridgend, Raven Sky operates throughout Cardiff, Swansea and wider South Wales, with multi-site and longer-distance assignments considered where appropriate.
